How many layers are there in PCB board?

It is usually even and includes the two outer layers. Most main boards have between 4 and 8 layers, but PCBs with almost 100 layers can be made.

How thick is a 2 layer PCB?

With a standard 1.6mm thickness, the PCB fab has some copper-clad core, with the total thickness of the copper and FR4 material equaling 1.6mm.

What are vias in double sided PCB oard?

Simply put, vias are Plated-Through Holes (PTHs) passing through one or more layers in a PCB, connecting traces on its way. Vias are means to interconnect different layers on and within the multilayered PCBs.
Vias in 2 layer PCB are used to create electrical connections that enable the routing of the traces so that they reach the opposite side of the board.

What are the different layers in PCB?

Single layer boards typically include: a mechanical layer, a keep out layer, a routing layer, an overlay layer, a solder mask layer and a solder paste layer. Multilayer PCBs contain those same layers as well as a mix of additional power planes, ground planes and more routing layers.
