What is the thickness of the 4-layer PCB?

The 4 layer print circuit board includes five different thickness: 0.5mm, 0.8mm, 1.0mm, 1.2mm, 1.6mm, which is pressed based on the double-sided PCB.

When process the lamination, PP and copper foil will be added on both sides of the double-sided board, and then pressed into a multi-layer board through high temperature and high pressure. In other words, the 4 layers printed circuit board has an inner layer. In terms of the process, some traces will be etched through the inner layer and then pressed together. And the double-sided panel is to directly cut the sent sheet and then drill and make it.



The general layout of each layer of 4-layer PCB is the top layer, bottom layer, and two middle layers. The middle 2 layers are the power layer such as VCC and the ground layer such as GND. The power layer and the ground layer can be isolated in the middle to reduce interference.

The layout of 4-layer PCB

1) There are four lines in the 4-Layer PCB which are the top layer, bottom layer, VCC layer, and GND layer. Generally is to use for the through-hole, buried hole, or blind hole to connect each other's layers. In addition, the VCC and GND layer as far as possible do not use the signal line.

2) There are multiple GND on the first middle layer. You can layout a small amount of lines and be careful not to divide the copper. The second layer of VCC in the middle layer has multiple power. You can layout a small amount of lines and be careful not to divide the copper too.
